Russell Wilson’s foundation announces gift to Boys & Girls Clubs of Western Pennsylvania
This week, Wilson visited Dick’s House of Sport in Ross Township to announce a $50,000 gift to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Western Pennsylvania from his nonprofit Why Not You Foundation.
“I think the best thing that we can do as a foundation is just dedicate our time and our resources to amazing kids like this. When I was a kid, I had a big dream. I dreamed that I was going to be able to play football and baseball, I dreamed that I was going to go to college and do all these different things, but it was the support system, my mom and my dad, also the other teachers and people that have inspired me to go where I am today, so me and Ciara just wanted to spend time with these kids,” Wilson said.
The event was part of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Western Pennsylvania’s summer camp kickoff in the Pittsburgh area.
