Jerome Bettis, NFL stars team up for Boys and Girls Clubs event ahead of 2026 Draft (Around Town)
Pittsburgh Business Times-
Ahead of the 2026 NFL Draft in Pittsburgh from April 23-25, the Boys and Girls Clubs of Western Pennsylvania teamed up with some NFL stars, past and present, to host a community-centered event.
“Inside the Draft: Community On the Clock” kicked off the weekend of Draft-centered events and was held on Wednesday, April 22, at the Wintergarden at PPG Place downtown. The sold-out event was hosted in collaboration with former star Steelers running back and Pro Football Hall of Famer Jerome Bettis, along with his Bus Stops Here Foundation.
Local leaders, including Pittsburgh Mayor Corey O’Connor and Allegheny County Executive Sara Innamorato, were on hand to welcome the crowd. The event raised funds for the Bus Stops Here Foundation’s Cyber Bus initiative, which brings digital literacy and AI education programs directly to communities in the Pittsburgh region.
The event featured a panel discussion with Bettis, ESPN analyst and former Steelers safety Ryan Clark, current star Steelers defensive tackle and team captain Cameron Heyward, former Steelers quarterback Charlie Batch, and former NFL linebacker Thomas Davis Sr.
