It’s In Our DNA

1

Mission Aligned

Collectively working towards shared goals to serve our youth and communities.

Our mission is to provide a place for kids filled with opportunities and where youth are listened to and surrounded by community. The success of our mission depends on a culture of dignity and respect and a commitment to our communities. Our youth and communities are directly affected by the choices we make and their voices are critical to our success. Our leadership is dedicated to supporting Clubhouse staff with empathy, compassion, transparency and impartiality. Our staff are responsible for supporting, mentoring and guiding our youth, and by extension, our communities.

2

Accountability

Being highly accountable is essential to fulfilling our mission & commitment to our youth.

We hold everyone in our organization to a high standard of integrity and accountability, regardless of position. We show up on time, are dedicated and committed to high caliber work, owning our responsibilities and contributing positively to our culture. We take ownership of our words, actions, and impact on others, while understanding that taking ownership is essential to earning the trust of others. We give and accept feedback with humility, and focus on positive outcomes and resolutions. Our impact and effect on others may not always align with our intentions, and we are willing to listen and grow when our words, actions and behaviors are challenged. We engage and seek feedback when making decisions that impact others.

3

Attitude

Positive attitudes are fundamental to a positive team culture.

We are present and purposeful, and share a desire to create harmony and positivity in our work environment. We approach our work and each other with empathy, compassion and understanding. We do not speak or react to our peers, our youth or our families out of frustration or anger. We uplift and support one another, celebrate others' achievements and have each other's back through difficulties. We extend grace and assume the best of our youth, families, and one another. We celebrate the successes of our colleagues and foster an environment that enables staff to grow and thrive.

4

Communication

Excellent communication is the foundation of a healthy workplace.

Our communication, in all forms, is designed to uplift, strengthen relationships and foster growth. We speak to each other with respect and actively welcome and greet everyone who enters our workspace. We approach conversations with a caring attitude and productive language, accepting and delivering feedback with kindness. We do not engage in gossip or badmouthing and we navigate problems through a positive, solution-oriented, human-centered framework. We address conflict directly and respectfully, and use mediation when needed as a tool to support ourselves and our peers.

5

Belonging

Fostering acceptance and belonging brings out our best.

We acknowledge and accept the diversity that each person brings, understanding that diversity includes both visible and invisible qualities like race, gender, age, ability, lived experience, religion and learning style.. We foster feelings of belonging by creating inclusive work environments that allow everyone to show up as their unique, authentic selves. We elevate every person's voice and give equal and equitable opportunities throughout the organization. We see everyone as an individual and we provide them the tools they need to accomplish their goals. We acknowledge that bias and prejudice are always at work both implicitly and explicitly, and we embrace anti-racist and anti-discriminatory work with each other, our youth and our communities.
