AmeriCorps LEAD Member
The AmeriCorps LEAD Member will be hands-on with the youth to implement curriculum and programming on a day to day basis.
Child Care Educator
The Child Care Educator will be hands-on with the youth to implement curriculum and programming on a day to day basis. This role is responsible for the supervision and safety of all program participants as well as relationship building. This role will ensure that they follow all DHS Chapter 3270 Regulations and BGCA Safety requirements. Full Description of responsibilities available upon request.
Healthy Lifestyles Instructor (Teen Outreach Program)
The Healthy Lifestyle Instructor’s role is to implement social-emotional learning and prevention
programming, to include an intensive, evidence-based teen education program that promotes
positive youth development through a social-emotional curriculum, community service learning
and supportive relationships with adults, with the overall goal of healthy decision making. They
will be responsible for developing materials and facilitating workshops on topics of health,
wellness, and life-skills related to prevention and whole-person development. Ultimately, the
Healthy Lifestyles Instructor will ensure students experience personal growth, improved self-
esteem, and increased knowledge about healthy lifestyles.
Healthy Lifestyles Instructor/Youth Development Professional
The Youth Development Intern will be hands-on with the youth to implement curriculum and programming on a day to day basis. This role is responsible for the supervision, interactions,and safety of all program participants as well as relationship building. This role will ensure that they follow all DHS Chapter 3270 Regulations and BGCA Safety requirements.
Lead Preschool Teacher
The Preschool Teacher will be hands on with the youth to implement curriculum and programming on a day to day basis. This role is responsible for the supervision and safety of all program participants as well as relationship building. This role will ensure that they follow all DHS Chapter 3270 Regulations and BGCA Safety requirements. This position requires warmth, patience, and understanding of youth between the ages of 3 and 5 years of age. This position requires an inspiration to assist youth in being lifelong learners while promoting social, physical, verbal, and cognitive development. Experience with Creative Curriculum preferred.
Maintenance Technician / Youth Driver
The responsibility of the Maintenance Technician is to provide maintenance to all clubhouse grounds, property and equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
Quality & Compliance Evaluator
The Quality and Compliance Evaluator will be instrumental in evaluating the day to day quality and compliance of our clubhouse locations. The evaluator will complete formal and informal evaluations of each location's compliance with The Office of Child Development and Early Learning, Department of Human Services PA code chapter 3270 child care regulations, Keystone Stars Quality Rating Improvement System and Boys & Girls Club of America Requirements. The evaluator is responsible for documenting and importing any and all evaluation data to the Quality Regulation and Evaluation Director. The Quality and Compliance Evaluator will meet with clubhouse leadership and staff to provide them with resources and recommendations for highest program quality results. In addition, the evaluator will meet with the Quality Regulation and Evaluation Director and other leadership to share progress towards quality initiatives and maintenance. In order to support the quality and compliance efforts throughout the organization, the Quality and Compliance Evaluator will support ratio as needed.
STEAM Program Coordinator
The STEAM Coordinator is an integral part of the STEAM programming team with Boys & Girls Clubs of Western Pennsylvania. This position is a perfect fit for someone looking to work with youth in science, technology, engineering, mathematics, and arts in education settings. The STEAM program aims to introduce youth, especially those from historically underserved backgrounds to STEAM fields, broadening their exposure to these growing fields as potential career options. This is a growing department at BGCWPA and we are looking for someone willing to learn, grow, and help implement the program. The successful candidate is an eager learner, teacher, and enjoys teamwork in a collaborative environment. In addition to working directly with youth, the STEAM Coordinator will track data such as attendance and surveys and assist the Director of STEAM with gathering information for grant applications and reports.
Teen Coordinator
The position will coordinate and implement teen programs and support the Manager of Teen Programs in: planning, promoting, coordinating and implementing teen programming. The Teen Coordinator will also support and implement mentoring programs, workforce development and social-emotional learning programs, in addition to supporting recruitment efforts.
