Mission Statement The Boys & Girls Clubs of Western Pennsylvania is a non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for youth, with particular emphasis on members who live in urban communities of highly diverse cultures. The primary mission of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Western Pennsylvania is to promote health, social, educational, vocational and character development for boys and girls ages 6 through 18, by self-esteem, values, and skills.
Agency Information Boys & Girls Clubs of Western Pennsylvania is a unique organization consisting of 8 Club facilities, a Charter High School, Outlet Connection retail venture, and Juvenile Justice Services. Our goal is to provide every child with the essential tools needed for a successful and bright future. Since 1931, the vision of Boys & Girls Clubs has grown and changed with the needs of our children. As the needs of our children and their families continue to change, so will the dynamics of our programs and services. Every day, Boys & Girls Clubs of Western Pennsylvania strive to improve each child's life by implementing self-esteem, courage, and positive values through all of the educational programs. Our youth come to the Boys & Girls Clubs to receive tutoring, computer training, sports education, homework help, and mentoring. Our youth gain confidence by developing a sense of usefulness and belonging.
